1. Who We Are and the Scope of This Policy
FreeUp Space is supplied by GTG Art Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 23
773 505 681) ("FreeUp Space", "we", "us", or "our"). This
policy applies to the FreeUp Space iPhone app, this website, and
privacy-related support communications.
FreeUp Space helps you review photos, screenshots, similar or
blurry photos, and large videos so you can choose whether to free
storage space.
2. Photo Library Permission and Data the App Accesses
With your permission, FreeUp Space accesses your photo library so
it can scan and group items that may be candidates for cleanup.
This may include photos, videos, screenshots, file sizes, dates,
dimensions, media types, and other local media metadata needed to
show cleanup suggestions.
iOS controls this permission. Depending on the access you grant,
the app may be able to access all photos or only the items you
select. You can change or revoke access at any time in iOS
Settings. Photo-library access is required for the corresponding
scanning, review, and cleanup features.
3. On-Device Processing
Photo and video analysis for cleanup suggestions is performed on
your device. FreeUp Space does not upload your photos, videos,
thumbnails, scan results, or photo-library metadata to us for
scanning. We do not operate a user account system for the app.
Information that remains solely on your device and is not sent to
us is not collected by us. Apple services such as iCloud Photos
may separately sync or store your library under your Apple account
and Apple's privacy practices; FreeUp Space does not control that
processing.
4. Deletion and User Control
FreeUp Space does not delete items automatically. You review
suggested groups and confirm before a cleanup action is performed.
You can skip anything you are unsure about.
Deleted photos and videos may remain in Apple's Recently Deleted
album for a period determined by Apple and your device settings.
FreeUp Space does not control iCloud syncing, backups, or Apple's
recovery period.
5. Purchases and Apple Services
FreeUp Space may offer a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase
that permanently unlocks paid features. It is not a subscription
and does not renew. Purchases and restorations are handled through
Apple's App Store and StoreKit systems.
Apple processes payment and Apple Account information under its
own terms and privacy policy. The app may receive purchase-related
information needed to provide or restore the unlock, such as the
product purchased, transaction status, and entitlement status. We
do not receive your full payment-card details.
6. Support Emails and Voluntary Contact
If you email support, we may receive your email address and any
information you choose to include, such as your device model, iOS
version, screenshots, or a description of the issue. We use this
information to respond, troubleshoot, maintain support records,
and improve the app. Please do not send photos, videos, or other
sensitive information unless needed for your request.
7. Website Data
When you visit this website, basic technical information may be
processed by our hosting provider, such as your IP address,
browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, and server
logs. This information is used to deliver the website, protect it
from abuse, troubleshoot faults, and maintain reliability. We do
not use website information to build advertising profiles.
8. Tracking, Advertising, Analytics, and Diagnostics
The app includes Google Firebase Crashlytics, a crash-reporting
and diagnostics service that helps us identify and fix crashes.
If the app crashes, Crashlytics may automatically receive crash
traces, relevant application state, app version, device and iOS
information, and pseudonymous app-installation identifiers. We
use this information only to diagnose crashes and improve the
app's stability and performance.
FreeUp Space does not attach your name, email address, or an app
account identifier to crash reports, and does not send your
photos, videos, thumbnails, scan results, or photo-library
metadata to Crashlytics. Google Analytics is disabled in the app;
we do not use it to measure your in-app behaviour. Supporting
Firebase components may send limited SDK transport and
service-performance metadata so Google can maintain and measure
the reliability of those components.
We do not sell personal information, show third-party advertising,
use your data for targeted advertising, or track you across apps
or websites owned by other companies. The app does not request
App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not engage
in tracking as defined by Apple.
9. Third-Party Services
We use third parties only where needed to distribute and operate
the app, process purchases, host the website, and provide email
support. These parties may process information for those purposes:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases and restorations, iOS permissions, and platform functionality;
- Google Firebase Crashlytics, for crash reporting and app-reliability diagnostics (see Firebase privacy and security);
- our website hosting provider, for delivery, security, and server logging; and
- our email provider, when you contact support.
Each provider processes information under its own privacy terms.
We do not permit service providers to use information we give them
for unrelated advertising.
10. Retention and Deletion
Photo and video analysis data stays on your device. You can remove
local app data by deleting the app, subject to standard iOS,
iCloud, backup, and Recently Deleted behaviour.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably needed
to respond, troubleshoot, maintain business and security records,
meet legal obligations, and improve support. Website logs are kept
only for as long as reasonably needed for delivery, security, and
troubleshooting. Retention may be extended where required by law
or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Google states that Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces
and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before
beginning removal from its live and backup systems.
11. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You can limit or revoke photo-library access through iOS Settings,
decide whether to contact support, and delete the app to remove
its local data. You may contact us to request access to, correction
of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, such as
support correspondence. We may need to verify your request and may
retain information where the law permits or requires it.
Because we do not receive your on-device photo library or scan
results, we cannot access, export, correct, or delete that material
for you.
12. Security and International Processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for
information we control. No method of transmission or storage is
completely secure. Our service providers may process information
in Australia or other countries where they operate, subject to
their safeguards and applicable law.
13. Children's Privacy
FreeUp Space is not directed to children under 13, and we do not
knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does
not require an account and processes photo-library cleanup
information on device. If you believe a child has provided
personal information to us through support, contact us so we can
review and, where appropriate, delete it.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If our privacy
practices materially change, we will update this page and, where
required, update the app's privacy information in App Store
Connect before the changed practices apply. The effective date at
the top shows when this policy was last updated.
